There follows as promised a list of conditions that we excluded as the reasons for her possible fits.

Exclusions :-

Hypoglycaemia (low blood sugr)

Hypocalcaemia (low calcium)

Hypomagnesaemia (low magnesium)

Deranged sodium concentration

Meningitis due to bacteria of viruses (specifically Herpes virus)

The above were ruled out by tests on blood and cerebo-spinal fluid

Major congenital brain malformation

Brain tumour

Major ischaemia (due to lack of blood supply)

The above were ruled out by the normal CT Scan
